Dr. Hamayoun Tabandeh completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute,?Johns?Hopkins?Hospital. He received his fellowships in medical retina and vitreoretinal surgery from the world-renowned?Moorfields?Eye?Hospital,?London, and the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute,?Miami. He previously served as the director of the retina service at the?University?of?Florida,?Gainesville?where he performed complex vitreo-retinal surgeries and trained numerous residents and fellows.
Tabandeh has been an investigator in many national and international clinical trials for the treatment of retina diseases. He has been the recipient of awards in research, education, and patient care and specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of diseases of the retina and vitreous.
