The Discovery Eye Foundation (DEF) provides bridge funding that allows promising research to continue while seeking funding from larger sources, such as the National Institute of Health. Providing continuity to these special research projects help to speed discovery of new treatments and cures for sight-threatening eye diseases.
To achieve this goal DEF has partnered with the Gavin Herbert Eye Institute at the University of California, Irvine, as well as funding other outstanding scientists around the world.
