Roni Cohen Leiderman, Ph.D., has a doctoral degree in developmental psychology and is a recognized leader in early brain development, human development, early childhood education, and parenting. Her work is focused on advancing research-based approaches to early learning, with particular expertise in attachment theory, play-based learning, autism spectrum and related disorders, social-emotional development, and the critical role of family engagement in optimizing outcomes for young children.
Dr. Leiderman was Dean Emerita of the Mailman Segal Center for Human Development at Nova Southeastern University. She is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator and serves as Strategic Advisor to the Discovery Eye Foundation. Throughout her distinguished career, she has led major research and grant-funded initiatives and has extensive experience in donor development, cultivating philanthropic partnerships, and advancing evidence-based programs in early childhood, professional training, autism and community impact.
In addition, Dr. Leiderman has lectured extensively across the United States, as well as in Europe and Canada. She has been a frequent guest on national and local television, hosted a weekly radio program, and is the author of numerous professional articles and books, many of which have been translated into multiple languages further extending the global reach and impact of her work.
