Dr. Brian Chou discusses various types of contact lenses designed for people with keratoconus at the Discovery Eye Foundation’s 2011 San Diego Vision Symposium.
Dr. Chou earned his doctorate of optometry at UC Berkeley then completed fellowship training at Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA School of Medicine. He is a partner at Carmel Mountain Vision Center where he has a large specialty contact lens practice. He has authored over 60 manuscripts in the eye care industry including book chapters on keratoconus, cataracts, and laser vision correction. He is also the author of the book, Spanish Terminology for the Eyecare Team. Dr. Chou received the Nuemueller Award in Optics from the American Academy of Optometry and serves on the editorial board for Review of Cornea & Contact Lenses. Dr. Chou is a clinical investigator and consultant to several ophthalmic companies, and is an expert witness for the California Board of Optometry.
