Dr. Avani Patel discusses low vision related to aged macular degeneration at the Discovery Eye Foundation’s 2011 San Diego Vision Symposium.
Dr. Avani Patel has been in Southern California for over twenty years. After receiving her bachelor of sciences degree from the University of California, Irvine, she completed her post-graduate degree as a doctor of optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, California.
Dr. Patel went on to complete her residency as a low vision rehabilitation optometrist at The Center for the Partially Sighted (CPS) in Santa Monica, CA where she remained on staff as a low vision optometrist for another eight years.
In private practice for seven years, Dr. Patel provides consulting services at Long Beach Memorial Hospital as a low vision optometrist.
